Did Julia Fox Just Come Out on TikTok?

Apologies to all of the boys, but it looks like Julia Fox has sworn off men for good. On Monday, the actress, socialite, and sometimes pop singer stitched a video from a TikToker that said, “I love when I see a lesbian with their boyfriend. It’s like, awww you hate that man. You literally hate him.” Fox then added her own response to the video, as she filmed herself on the street. “Hey, that was me. I was that lesbian,” she said to the camera. “So sorry, boys. Um, won’t happen again.”
Fox’s comment section quickly lit up with responses like, “julia fox lesbian content is like my exact fyp” and “LOVE YOU JULIA WE’RE SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU.” The original creator, @emgwaciedawgie, then posted a duet, musing, “Did I just facilitate Julia Fox coming out?”
Fox has previously alluded to her own queerness, telling Ziwe in 2022 that she “had a gay bone she wanted to explore.” In the same interview, the 34-year-old said she would be interested in dating women, observing, “Maybe my ex-boyfriends weren’t wrong when they were calling me a lesbian and complaining that I never wanted to have sex with them.” More recently, Fox has stated that she’s been celibate for more than two years, adding that it was her way of “taking back control” in an increasingly bleak landscape for women’s and LGBTQIA+ rights. But as noted in our own coverage of the rise of celibacy amongst young women, many of the individuals who say they are temporarily swearing off sex with men never go back. As of now, that appears to check out. Congratulations to Fox for leaving men in her rearview mirror, and as our sage Charli XCX once sang, we really are “so Julia.”
