Fairfax police probe e-bike rider’s death
Fairfax police are investigating the death of a man riding an electric bicycle.
The cyclist’s body was discovered around 10:30 p.m. July 1 near Gomez Field along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, Fairfax police Chief Rico Tabaranza said Monday. Investigators do not know if he died in a solo crash or in a vehicle collision.
“He could have fallen off his bike on his own, had a medical emergency causing him to fall off his bike, or gotten into a collision with another object, causing him to fall off his bike,” Tabaranza said.
No further details were provided. The coroner’s division of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office did not release the rider’s name on Monday.
