Redditor Dangerouslyloose shared the perfume tips in a post.

“If you do use fragrance, use an oil-based one,” they advised.

“It lasts longer and creates a more unique scent without being overpowering. (Most well-known/department store brands are alcohol-based.)”

While perfumes can retail for upwards of hundreds of dollars, they explained that if you’re smart, the beauty buy doesn’t have to break the bank.

Using oil perfumes can not only extend the longevity of your scent but also cushion your wallet.

“My absolute ride-or-die favorite brand is I Hate Perfume. I alternate between In the Library in the fall/winter and Greenbriar in the spring/summer,” they said.

“They are super concentrated (1-2 drops is all you need), reasonably priced (2 milliliter for $23 will last you over a year), and I’ve definitely had quite a few people ask what I’m wearing.

Since they shared the advice, the price of the perfumes has risen to $27 for the 2 milliliter trial size.

“That’s basically been my perfume game for over a decade now. For fancier occasions, I’ll go for Fragonard’s Belle de Nuit,” they said.

Other brands they thought were worth the money include Lush.

“Lush also makes all their products with natural oils,” they said.

“I personally adore them and their products, but I know some people find the scents (and stores) kind of overpowering.”

A critical part of smelling good, they added, is using deodorant to eliminate bad odors.

“I don’t use aluminum-based deodorant. My go-to is Crystal Roll-On, which neutralizes BO without layering another scent over it,” they said.

“[The] best part is that it’s a clear liquid, so no white powdery residue.

“It’s usually on the bottom shelf at Walgreens/CVS, and it’s pretty inexpensive; Amazon has it for under $4.”

Amazon shoppers raved about the inexpensive deodorant, and many called it their holy grail.

“I’ve struggled to find a deodorant that works for me. I’ve tried multiple brands and different types (aluminum-free, antiperspirant, unscented, witch hazel, and tea tree mixture instead, etc.), but they never work,” wrote one reviewer.

“This WORKS. After I shower, I apply this, let it dry, and I am set going into the next day.

“I expected the smell to have faded by the next day, as I am used to deodorants only lasting me for about three hours before my body forces itself to sweat it out, but even once I go to sleep and wake up, I still smell of vanilla.

“This is the best for 12+ hours of fresh smell, and I also don’t sweat when wearing this like the others make me. So glad I found this, my new go-to!”
