In line with its ESG strategy, the Report presents the progress made over the past year towards the 2030 Agenda.

As part of its ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) strategy as a fundamental pillar of its corporate strategy, this second Lecta Sustainability Report examines the evolution of the key performance indicators (KPIs) defined in 2022 in the three main ESG areas and offers an even more comprehensive and detailed view of the results achieved and progress made.

“By setting ambitious sustainability goals and implementing concrete measures, we are actively contributing to a more sustainable world. As CEO, I am proud to report on our ongoing efforts to reduce our environmental impact and carbon footprint, prioritise renewable resources and promote social responsibility in all our activities,” says Gilles Van Nieuwenhuyzen, CEO of Lecta.

Ambitious and responsible performance in terms of sustainability is a key issue for Lecta, which is why it is fully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to 11 of the 17 targets set, which are detailed in the pages of the Report.

Its challenging carbon reduction roadmap and its decarbonisation and energy efficiency plan are key factors in helping to protect the environment and climate. Lecta therefore publishes its progress in calculating the organisation’s carbon footprint (OCF) and product carbon footprint (PCF), based on the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) methodology for a low-carbon economy. Principles and progress on social and governance issues are also included in Lecta’s Sustainability Report 2023. With the clear priority of ensuring the maximum health and safety of its employees and respect for the people and communities in which it operates. In addition to the solid foundation of the Group’s Code of Ethics, the new policies and regulations implemented over the past year have served to further strengthen Lecta’s high level of business ethics.
