LAGOS COOPERATIVE COLLEGE COMMENCES ADMISSION FOR 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION 

The Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO) has called for admission from well-meaning and qualified candidates into the Full-Time National Diploma and Part-Time Professional Diploma Programmes of the institution for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The College offers specialised cooperative courses needed to enhance the practice and running of cooperative business models and building of careers in micro and macro-financial industry as well as in the information communication technology field.

The institution’s academic programmes are believed to be rich in academic curriculum with practical hands-on skill proficiency which covers all facets of activities required in the industry needed to meet today’s challenging dynamic labour market demands. 

According to the Cooperative College, the National Diploma Programme students in addition to obtaining the Diploma Certificate in their chosen field of study, are also made to acquire vocational skills of their choice at designated Lagos State Vocational Training Centres. Thus, this gives them the advantage of self-employability.

Candidates interested in admission into the National Diploma programmes, namely Cooperative Economics and Management, Micro Finance and Enterprise Development and Computer Study will apply through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) having chosen the College as their preferred choice of study while candidates who hitherto did not choose the institution can also apply by changing to the institution on the Jamb Admission portal.

Additionally, candidates are expected to have five credits subjects pass in WAEC/NECO or its equivalent including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings and three other subjects from Economics/Commerce, Principles of Accounting/Business Methods, Marketing, History/Government, Geography, Biology/Agriculture for either Micro Finance & Enterprise Development and Cooperative Economics & Management. While in Computer Science: Five credits in English-Language, Mathematics, physics, Chemistry and any Science subject at not more than two sittings.

For the three-semester part-time Professional Diploma In Cooperative Management, a minimum Diploma in any discipline in addition to satisfying O’Level requirements of five credits at not more than two sittings is required for admission. 

Prospective applicants for the National Diploma Programmes are to log on to: https://lascoco.lagosstate.gov.ng to fill and submit the post-UTME application screening form on the admission portal for N2,500:00. Professional Diploma candidates in Cooperative Management Candidates are also required to fill and submit application forms on the portal for N10,000:00 non-refundable fee or visit the school premises at Johnson Agiri Agricultural Complex, Old Abeokuta Road, Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos to purchase application forms.
