I’m Michelle Keegan’s home organiser – my 80p hack will make any swimwear drawer organised & save space in your suitcase

IF their dedicated home Instagram accounts are any indication, celebrity abodes are picture-perfect with not a single item out of place.

And the brains behind such stringent organisation? Most of the time, it’s Gemma Lilly and Charlotte Reddington – also known as The Style Sisters

This duo have been given no-frills access to celebrity walk-in wardrobes for over six years now.

Their job is to detox and reorganise cupboards and rails bursting with designer clothes.

They also organise in such a way that it means said wardrobes should (theoretically) never descend into mayhem again.

Gemma and Charlotte’s star-studded roster includes Michelle Keegan, Rochelle Humes, Amanda Holden and Katherine Ryan

Luckily for us, they don’t keep all their secrets to themselves.

The duo regularly share their storage and organisation hacks on social media for us non-celebs to implement in our lives.

And as summer holidays start to crop up, they’ve shared the perfect way to store your swimwear.

We all know the pain of losing the matching bottoms to our favourite bikini top, and vice versa.

But with The Style Sisters’ 80p hack, we never have to worry about this again.

The pair recommend storing all swimwear in zip-lock plastic bags.

They dub them “bikini bags” and hail them the ideal way to keep your swimwear collection in order.

What’s more, you can just chuck the bags in your suitcase for holiday to avoid any snags or organisational mishaps when jetting off.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, they recommended the Nuoshen 10 Piece Storage Saving Space Clothes Bags from Amazon.

A blurb on them reads: “Each bag is watertight and airtight, preventing damage to items.

The Style Sisters Top 3 Decluttering Tips

Charlotte Reddington and Gemma Lilly have over 15 years experience decluttering and organising celebrity homes...

  • Out with the old, before in with the new

“It may sound a little ruthless but a one in, one out rule in your home and wardrobe can be effective to avoid over accumulating items in your home,” they said.

“It can also make you more mindful about the purchases you are making.”

  • Categorise and contain

“In any space, however big or small – from a utility room to your make-up box – organising items by category is the perfect way to keeping super organised,” they said.

“This allows you to know exactly where everything is and what you’ve got.

“Plus, it will make it super easy for the rest of the household to put away and keep tidy.”

  • Storage, storage and more storage!

“Storage is key, especially if space is an issue in the home or if the room is used for items like storing toys for children,” they said.

“Consider decorative storage baskets, side boards with plenty of storage or even a media wall or bookshelves with doors.”

“The plastic material, which is much thicker than the ordinary compression bag, is not easily punctured and can be used repeatedly

“These bags are ideal for travelling as there is no need for a vacuum cleaner or pump to remove air.

“Just roll them up by hand to expel air.”

A 10 pack of the bags costs £7.99, working out at 80p a bag.
