Gyanvapi Mosque case: Allahabad High Court to hear plea on August 20

The Allahabad High Court postponed the Gyanvapi Mosque case to August 12 after a plea contesting the Varanasi District Court's decision to deny the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) access to survey the Wuzkhana area within the mosque. The area had been sealed in 2022 by a Supreme Court order. The ASI had said that the survey revealed that a Hindu Temple existed before the mosque was constructed.
