Good Travel Management’s Groups & Events Division achieves success under new leadership and expanded team

Good Travel Management (GTM) announce the growth and enhancement of its Groups and Events division. The team has recently expanded with the hire of two new team members, a new leadership team, and expanded their service offerings. Under new leadership, Good Travel Management’s Director, Kevin Harrison is now working alongside our Groups and Events Manager, Ian Cutts. With the recruitment of two strategic hires, Nakeisha Barber-Kelly and Amelia Hawkins as Sales Support Executives into the wider team, the Groups and Events division is now seen as a strong element in the wider growth Strategy for Good Travel Management and are experiencing a surge in demand from both existing and new clients.

In the first quarter of 2024, the Groups and Events division has already achieved 80% of the divisions 2023 turnover, seeing the division introduce new business opportunities, develop a strategic partnership with Trinity Event Solutions for UK meetings and events and brought the team together through team building events.

The strengthening of the team and expansion has been aligned with the growing demand of businesses bringing employees and workforces together, often due to many organisations having a remote and global workforce.  Alongside our existing expertise they are now project managing a wide range of large-scale events from global air fare sourcing through to incentive travel groups and event management.

Kevin Harrison, Director of GTM who oversees the Events division, reinforces the growth within Groups and Events, commenting “It’s a positive endorsement for the growing demand to bring people together in larger numbers that we continue to invest and expand our services from our specialist Groups and Events division.

Bringing together our experience in Exhibition Travel, Trade Missions and Group Travel projects, we now see a high demand for more specialist group travel such as incentives and purposeful travel, alongside our developing UK meetings, conferencing and group travel department, which is supported by our partnership with Trinity Edge Solutions.

I’m delighted to be seeing the team expand and give two excellent young people in Amelia and Nakeisha, who have combined their studies at university with direct experience in the Hotel and travel sectors, to strengthen our specialist team.”

The newly refocused Good Travel Management Groups and Events team are based in the brand-new, sustainably built head office, Quarry House, located in Hessle, East Yorkshire further aligning themselves with the division’s environmental goals.
