The Indonesian government has announced a donation of $1.04 million to assist the victims of natural disasters in Afghanistan.

Indonesian media reported on Tuesday, July 9th, citing officials, that this aid package includes food supplies, medicine, and health kits.

According to reports, the purpose of providing this aid is to “enhance the resilience of natural disaster victims in Afghanistan.”

Recent natural disasters, including floods in several provinces such as Balkh, Takhar, and Ghor, have resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives and substantial financial damages.

Meanwhile, the United Nations and relief agencies have consistently emphasized the importance of addressing humanitarian needs in Afghanistan.

Earlier, the World Food Programme had stated that floods in northern Afghanistan had affected over 80,000 people, requiring $14 million to mitigate the recent flood-related impacts.
