Guiu scored one goal in three LaLiga games for Barcelona last season

But while he has penned a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge, with the option of an additional 12 months, he could be waiting a while for his Chelsea debut as a Sevilla loan appears on the cards.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the presence of Christopher Nkunku, Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson in Enzo Maresca‘s squad mean it is difficult to see Guiu getting many minutes.

The futures of Armando Broja, David Datro Fofana and Romelu Lukaku are also up in the air as they return from loan spells.

Sevilla are understood to be interested in the teenager – who scored one goal in three LaLiga games last season.

The Spanish side could lose forward Youssef En-Nesyri this summer, with West Ham mooted as a possible destination for the Moroccan, 27.

And Guiu may be tasked with filling his shoes as Sevilla look to bounce back from a disappointing 14th-place finish in LaLiga last season.

Guiu shared an emotional letter to Barcelona after his departure was confirmed.

The youngster, who joined the Catalan giants 11 years ago, posted on Instagram: “The truth is that I can only have words of thanks for the club that trained me.
