According to a report in Tuttosport (as relayed by Roma Press), AS Roma are now ready to launch an offer to sign Juventus star Federico Chiesa this summer.
Roma ready to make an offer for Federica Chiesa
Chiesa is being widely backed to leave Turin this summer, with the winger now into the final year of his deal at the Allianz Stadium.
In fact, Fabrizio Romano revealed last week that the 26-year-old is not in Thiago Motta’s plans for the upcoming campaign and is available for a cut-price fee of just €25m (£18.5m).
Various outlets have credited Spurs with an interest in the Italian, including GiveMeSport, who named the North London club as Chiesa’s most likely destination if he is to make a move to the Premier League this summer.
Roma could table a three-year deal
However, Tuttosport have now suggested that Roma are ‘determined’ to win the race for the Juve star, with Daniele De Rossi having identified the former Fiorentina man as a ‘strong candidate’ to reinforce his attack.
The report says that the Giallorossi are at the front of the queue to land the winger and will soon meet with his agent to make him an offer.
Roma are reportedly willing to propose a three-year contract worth €5.5m (£4.6m) per year to the Italy international with the option of another one-year extension.

While there might be some Premier League interest in Chiesa, he will likely be leaning towards a stay in Italy.
There is little to no concrete evidence to suggest that Tottenham are seriously considering a move for the Juve player.
