Tenants trying to stay cool with no water, A/C at apartment

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Multiple tenants at Lakeside Village Apartments in Oklahoma City say they have been dealing with no water and no A/C for weeks.

The water issue has been fixed to an extent, but a bigger problem has arose with that. As for the A/C, the tenants say they have no clue when or if it will get fixed.

"We've got air conditioning that has been out over two weeks that they have not fixed," said Robin York, a tenant at Lakeside Village Apartments. "They're telling us now that it's going to be three weeks before they can even get anything going."

People living at the Lakeside Village Apartments say they can't catch a break from the heat.

"We put in work orders after work orders after work orders, and they're doing nothing," York said.

She says they haven't received much communication from management on fixing the problem.

"We've got like three fans going, plus a window open up at night and it's still hot," York said.

We tried speaking with management, but they weren't in the leasing office.

We spoke with a maintenance worker who said they are doing what they can as quickly as they can, but something else has taken priority.

"There is sewage that has run down the road," York said.

Water problems inside the apartments have resulted in a mess outside.

While tenants say their water is working to an extent now, they are worried they will be without A/C for much longer.

"It's been pretty bad living in a place that has no air," York said.
