Govt extends ban on pro-Khalistan group Sikhs For Justice

The Union Home Ministry has extended the ban on the pro-Khalistan group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) for five more years due to its anti-India activities. The ministry cited the SFJ's involvement in activities deemed prejudicial to India's internal security and integrity. It accused SFJ of promoting secessionist actions and supporting separatist movements within India and abroad, aimed at undermining India's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The ban, initially imposed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, has been extended from July 10 to prevent further subversive actions by SFJ.
