Sophie Turner’s New Twist on ‘Hot Girl Summer’ Is Perfect for Moms

She may not be having her “Cake by the Ocean” with ex-husband Joe Jonas anymore, but that doesn’t mean Sophie Turner is suffering this season! In fact, she just redefined “hot girl summer” for moms everywhere, and we are loving this new era for her!
The Game of Thrones alum, who shares daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, who turns 2 this week, with the Jonas Brothers singer, opened up about how she’s enjoying herself and her kids right now in a candid new interview promoting her new partnership with St-Germain’s Hugo Spritz summer cocktail. The England native told Harper’s Bazaar that she is feeling “pretty flirty,” adding, “I’m kind of embracing this lighter, fresher kind of energy around me.”
The undertones of that statement — that her ‘lighter, fresher” energy happened after her divorce from Jonas — come through loud and clear. And good for her! We are always going to advocate for a parent doing what they need to do to find happiness and contentment in life. Your kids will be better off for it!
With that in mind, Turner shared her take on her plans for the season. “My recipe for a hot-girl summer is pretty much playing with my kids, hanging out with my best friends, drinking some cocktails — you know which ones — and enjoying the sun, long may it last.”
“As long as the sun’s out, I’m a happy chap,” she added.
That sounds perfect — whether you are a single mom or happily coupled up with your partner. Just enjoy the weather, soak in these precious moments of no school with your kids, and prioritize time for yourself and with your best girl friends. Of course, one of Turner’s best friends happens to be Taylor Swift, who let Turner and her girls stay in her New York City apartment after the Turner’s split from Jonas in Aug. 2023.
In a June 2024 cover story with British Vogue, Tuner said, “I’ve always said that my girlfriends are the loves of my life. The support I had from the women in my life during that time was the most amazing thing to see. I felt so held and so protected.”
“Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year,” Turner continued. “I’ve never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me, and provided us with a home and a safe space.”
The actress, who is currently dating British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson and has five TV and film projects in the works, seems to be embracing every moment of her life, which truly proves how resilient women (and especially moms!) are. You love to see it!
