Carol Decker found international fame as the lead singer of British pop group T’Pau as the group rocketed to chart success in the Eighties.

The Liverpudlian lass was known for her striking auburn locks during her time in the group.

She also dated fellow band member Ronnie Rogers, with whom she wrote many of the band’s songs.

These hits included tracks Heart And Soul, China In Your Hands and Valentine.

The group disbanded in 1992 yet Carol and Ronnie delighted fans when they reunited back in 2013 for a 25th anniversary tour.

After T’Pau’s split, Carol released solo track One Heart three years later.

She also is at the helm of her own record label GnatFish.

Yet now back on stage for a series of summer gigs, Carol wowed her social media fans with her ageless look.

She styled her hair into waves and added a pop of lipgloss as she spoke to the camera for a video backstage at the Haslemere Fringe.

Carol pulled on a black leather jacket and a chunky gold necklace to finish off her rock chic look.

One fan was quick to gush: “You don’t need make up Carol your fab as you are were & always will be … oh & a new single soon please.

“I’ve worn the others out.”

Another added: “You look fab, I love your jacket xx” while a third confessed: “You look amazing.”

In an Instagram clip just this week she opted for shorter locks, styled poker straight with a flick at the tips.

Carol this time added a pop of colour with a pink jacket

Another follower gushed: “You’re so pretty and I love to hear you speak. And I’m so proud to be a fan of you & your music.”

OPENING UP

Carol recently candidly opened up on her family life in a frank interview.

She addressed the loss of her father in 1990 and her mum in 2014.

The I Will Be With You vocalist told The Guardian: “When both of your parents are gone, you consider your own mortality. My mum died in 2014.

“I’d viewed myself for a very long time as a failed pop star.

“It’s taken my mother’s death for me to realise how lucky I am and how much time I’ve wasted thinking I need to explain myself, or feeling sorry for myself.

“She used to constantly say: ‘Just get on with it and make some more music.'”

Carol added: “When I was in a relationship with Ronnie Rogers, my bandmate in T’Pau, I was allergic to children.

“I’d benefited from a doting mother, but I saw her depressions and loneliness and felt that being tied down with a family was partly responsible.

“If you marry and have kids, you go nowhere, was my interpretation.”

RETRO ROCKERS

Meanwhile, another previous popstar from the era recently revealed their new tour.

Scottish singer-songwriter Midge Ure, from Ultravox, told how live music was his “first love” as he delighted his fans with his news.

His winter tour, which will span through November and December at locations across the UK, are already on sale.

Meanwhile, Eighties popstar Sam Brown looks unrecognisable now from their chart heyday.

She was a session singer for Pink Floyd, Spandau Ballet and Small Faces before releasing her breakthrough hit Stop! in 1989.

Yet sadly Sam lost her singing voice in 2007 following an operation to address a cyst on her vocal chords.
