Axed Love Islander Omar fuels Joey Essex producer plant rumours as he launches savage attack on star in new TikTok
AXED Love Island stat Omar Nyame has sparked more rumours that Joey Essex is a producer plant after a slew of wild fan theories.
The Islander found himself locked in a war of words with the former The Only Way Is Essex before his early exit from the Love Island villa.
In a new podcast interview, Omar went on to spill all about his run-in with Joey which saw the pair come to blows in a heated exchange following the revelation about Omar’s secret flirty chats with Joey’s then love-interest, and his former flame, Grace Jackson.
As he confessed his shock that Joey was squaring up to him after initially believing it was a “prank”, one of the hosts of the 90s Baby podcast pressed him to comment on the fact that Joey is actually a producer plant who has been unleashed in the villa to stir up trouble under the guise of a celebrity bombshell.
In a new telling comment that fans’ theories could be correct, hunky PE teacher Omar failed to shut the rumours down.
One of the show’s hosts said: “Joey was 100% sent by the producers!
“He has to have been bro.”
In response, Omar held his hands up in the air as he began to smirk before he cheekily quipped: “No comment, I…
“Guys, no comment!”
He then appeared to intentionally stumble over his words as he refused to confirm or deny the speculation.
The podcast’s host then continued: “There must have been bare times where everybody is out there and Joey’s gone missing as he’s with the producers.”
Another co-host then chimed in to joke: “Mans having a private word!”
Fans had already taken to social media to add their claims that Joey could be a producer plant on the ITV2 show.
One wrote on the social media platform X – formerly Twitter: “Joey is a producer plant.”
Another said: “Joey the producer plant is moving like Luca and Jake. He’s tryna do a redemption arc as if he hasn’t planned this. #loveIsland.”
A third chimed in: “#LoveIsland Joey is this years Jake just plotting and scheming.”
Love Island series 11 - feuds in the villa
No edition of Love Island is complete without its fair share of drama - and series 11 is no different. Here's a look at some of the most fiery feuds so far.
- Joey Essex & Samantha Kenny: Samantha entered the villa on Day 1 and was initially coupled with Sam Taylor. However, Samantha was ‘stolen’ by Joey, the first bombshell of series 11. She was ‘dumped’ on Day 16 – with the make-up artist saying she had been brutally snubbed by Joey in the villa – although it never made it to air.
- Matilda Draper & Jess White: While Matilda arrived as a bombshell on Day 12, Jess was part of the original line-up. The two clashed in Casa Amor, over Jess’ frustration that Matilda was talking to new hunk Hugo Godfroy – who Jess previously snogged.
- Harriet Blackmore & Jess White: The two women were caught up in a love triangle for much of their time on the programme. The pair were fighting over Ronnie Vint, 27, from Greenwich, who wound up being dumped alongside Harriett.
Omar’s new admission comes after it was revealed by his villa co-star Samantha Kenny that his close friendship with rapper Stormzy was never revealed in the villa.
She said to Heat magazine: “Omar never told us about being friends with Stormzy and then during Aftersun Maya said to me, ‘Do you know that he’s best friend with Stormzy?’
“I was like ‘Sorry, What?’ So Omar had a little gathering at Stormzy’s place in Soho and I met Stormzy.”
Omar has lived a lavish lifestyle as one of the rapper’s inner circle and has jetted across the globs alongside the star.

In the episode that Omar was axed from the villa, Maya Jama entered the villa to reveal the public had been voting.
She announced that Mimii and Ayo, Nicole and Ciaran and Harriett and Sean were safe.
It left Tiffany and Ronnie, Jess and Omar, Grace and Joey and Uma and Wil vulnerable.
Maya then told them: “Only one boy and one girl will be dumped from the island today. And that decision will be made by the Islanders saved by the public.
“Safe Islanders you all have a big decision to make so please can you head to the mini fire pit to discuss it now.”
Harriett delivered the news that Tiffany and Omar had been booted off the island.
