Zambia's central bank mulls phasing out use of checks in transactions

LUSAKA, July 9 (Xinhua) -- The Bank of Zambia (BoZ), the central bank, said Tuesday that it was holding discussions with stakeholders on the possibility of phasing out the use of checks in business transactions.

Besnat Mwanza, the bank's assistant director of Communications, said that contrary to social media reports that the decision to phase out the use of checks has already been made, the bank was currently d
