Sophia Bush Gushes Over Being Set 'Free' by Ashlyn Harris in a Sweet Instagram Comment

While their relationship had its rocky moments when they first went public, Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris have been unapologetic about their love for each other ever since. From Bush’s touching essay on how they first connected, to their PDA-filled red carpets together, Bush and Harris are the prime examples of the joys of the honeymoon phase.

And, continuing in their streak, Harris recently posted a series of photos of Bush to Instagram celebrating her 42nd birthday on July 8.

“Happy birthday beautiful,” the former soccer player wrote in the caption. “I hope today feels special and full knowing how much we love you. You are such a gift in this world. To see you shine and happy fills us all up.”

“I love your heart Soph… I love everything about you,” Harris continued. “Happy born day baby.”

In the first picture, Bush and Harris are seen lying down in a styrofoam pit at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party back in March. In the other pictures, Harris and Bush are seen smiling, kissing and goofing off to the camera.

In the comment section, Bush gushed over her girlfriend, who she’s reportedly been seeing in the fall of 2023.

“Last year I got free,” Bush declared. “This year I found the very best love in the very most unexpected place. I may never get over the gift of it.”

“Thank you for putting me back together,” the actress continued. “For making my second birthday even better than my first. And for reminding me what the sound of my unbridled laughter sounds like. You are magic. You are my best present. ✨”

As a reminder, Bush opened up about how her friendship with Harris blossomed into much more in a candid essay for Glamour in April.

“I didn’t expect to find love in this support system,” Bush, who came out a queer in the essay, admitted. “I don’t know how else to say it other than: I didn’t see it until I saw it. And I think it’s very easy not to see something that’s been in front of your face for a long time when you’d never looked at it as an option and you had never been looked at as an option.”

Remembering their first date, Bush made us swoon. “That meal was four and a half hours long and truly one of the most surreal experiences of my life thus far,” she said.

Looks like these two won’t be leaving the honeymoon phase anytime soon!
