According to The Sun, Marc Guehi, who Tottenham are reported to be big fans of, is now set to turn down a new contract offered by Crystal Palace, piquing the interest of Premier League clubs.
Guehi has developed impressively at Palace over the last three years and his performances at the Euros have provided further evidence that he has come of age, with the centre-back arguably being England’s most consistent player during the tournament in Germany.
Several sources have continued to suggest over the last few months that Tottenham are big fans of the Chelsea academy graduate (Alasdair Gold –Q&A for Football.London).
The Palace ace defender born in Abidjan, the largest city in the Ivory Coast, West Africa, but moved to England aged one.
Guehi open to summer move away from Palace
The Sun have now claimed that Guehi’s displays at the Euros have caught the attention of a number of clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal.
The report says that Palace had hoped to hang on to the Chelsea academy academy graduate for at least one more season but that might now prove difficult.
This is because the defender has just two years left on his deal at Selhurst Park and has now turned down a new deal by the Eagles.
This is thought to have placed the Red Devils and the Gunners on ‘high alert’, with Guehi keen to explore his options this summer amidst the transfer interest.
Guehi missed England’s victory over Switzerland but is available for selection in Wednesday’s semi-final against the Netherlands.
The centre-half picked up two yellow cards in the lead-up to the quarters, meaning he was required to serve a one-match ban.

Guehi will likely cost close to £50m this summer and it would make no sense for Tottenham to spend that kind of transfer fee on a centre-back when other areas are much bigger priorities to strengthen.
Tottenham already have Cristian Romero, Radu Dragusin and Micky van de Ven within the ranks, a signing of around £50m should instead be focused on a striker or a left-sided winger.
