Authorities say an arrest has been made after a body was found in a storage facility.

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) - Authorities say an arrest has been made after a body was found in a storage facility.

Police confirm on July 5, officers responded to a call regarding a possible deceased person at the Mini Storage facility located at 2616 S. Coltrane Place in Edmond. Upon arrival, officers confirm they discovered the body of a deceased female, that has been identified as 30-year-old Elyse Marie Betz.

Investigators discovered that Ms. Betz had been temporarily staying at a nearby hotel in Edmond with a male, 36-year-old Kyle Robert Fedus. Police say, after further disclosure into Fedus he was wanted out of North Carolina for Federal Probation Violation (Robbery with a Firearm).

On July 6, 2024, Fedus was located at another hotel in Edmond and arrested for his outstanding warrant, according to police.

During the subsequent interview, Fedus confessed to a pact with Ms. Betz, in which they agreed to overdose using a syringe of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl if law enforcement found them.

Authorities revealed, Fedus detailed that on the night of July 4, 2024, they fled their hotel parking lot on foot, fearing the presence of law enforcement. They ran through the woods and ended up at the storage facility, where they decided to commit suicide by overdose.

Fedus admitted to administering the fatal dose to Ms. Betz after injecting himself.

An autopsy has been conducted, and Toxicology results are pending from the Medical Examiner's Office.

Fedus is currently charged with Murder in the First Degree, after evidence and his own confession.
