GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State police report that a Schenectady woman has been arrested following an investigation into a car theft. Vanessa Ivery, 29, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and trespassing.

On July 8 around 11:45 a.m., troopers responded to a home in Guilderland following a report of a vehicle being stolen from private property. State police say that while troopers were speaking with the victim, the stolen car was located and pulled over near Clinton Street in Albany by a deputy of the Albany County Sheriff's Office.

The driver of the car, identified as Ivery, was then taken into custody. The car was later returned to the owner undamaged.
