Love Island bosses set sights on Danny Cipriani’s ex after he signs up for Strictly
DANNY Cipriani’s newly-single ex Victoria has revealed that she was approached to do Love Island.
Victoria, who split from ex England rugby ace Danny, 36, in November 2023, said bosses were keen to get her on the ITV2 dating show.
It comes after first celebrity bombshell Joey Essex, 33, was signed up for the latest series, setting the precedent for other famous faces to appear.
During an Instagram Q&A, Victoria address her split after a fan asked: “The split must have been so hard…”
Mental health campaigner Victoria, 42, said: “It was quite difficult and it’s still ongoing, not from a heartbreak point of view but for another thing.
“Things always happen to us unexpectedly and you have to find the lesson in the mess and that is something I’ve been trying to find and I believe I have.
“The problem is you give people wings and they fly off.”
Despite having her heart broken, Victoria said Love Island may be on the cards one day, but admitted it wasn’t the right time.
She revealed: “I actually got approached to do it, not this series but another, but I said no because even though I’m technically single, I’m not divorced so I think that would be a mockery.”
Speaking about her dating life, she shared: “I’m not put off anything, but I’m not actively looking.”
When asked if she has been having therapy to help her deal with the split, the mum-of-two described it as a period of grieving.
“I had therapy. When something big and traumatic happens in your life, you have to look at the bigger picture and let go of the pain very quickly, even though it’s hard to get over the heartbreak,” she said.
“It was grief.”
Victoria may have turned down Love Island, but her ex is said to have signed up for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Danny, 36, appeared in the dance show’s Christmas special last year and impressed with his footwork.
The retired player is due to fly in from the US — where he is now based — to discuss the project. A source said: “Danny proved he had the moves in the one-off special and Strictly would love to have him back.
“It was an experience he enjoyed and Danny’s family and friends have been pushing him to say yes.
“Danny’s got Bear Hunt on Netflix out next year so he’s free and able to take part. He’s coming back to the UK for a face-to-face meeting.”
In last year’s special, Danny danced the Cha-Cha with professional Jowita Przystal and scored an impressive 37 out of 40 — including one perfect ten.
It comes after Danny went public with his relationship with 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord.
AnnaLynne has known Danny for over ten years, but took things to the next level at the start of last month.
The pair are said to have “bonded deeply” over their interest in spirituality and their shared love of meditation.
Danny shared AnnaLynne’s reel on his stories and wrote: “My miracle”.
He first revealed he was in a relationship with AnnaLynne last month after sharing a selection of photos from their holiday in Egypt.
Actress Annalynne, who played Naomi Clark in the reboot of 90210, which ran from 2008 to 2013, is also well known for playing pampered Loren Wakefield in American medical drama Nip/Tuck.
The sports star split from his wife Victoria in November.
Victoria and Danny aren’t legally divorced, and a source said there were many “loose ends” that still need sorting between them.
Alleged mental health campaigner Victoria took to Instagram to hit out at her estranged husband, telling fans: “nice to see my husband moved on. But his belongings and clothes in our house, in our drawers still haven’t moved on.”
She quickly deleted the post but also sent a direct message to the rugby ace where she said: “Can you send me a miracle, please? Can you answer the lawyer’s letter so I can keep my car? All the best. Lots of love your ever patient wife.”

Danny was linked to a yoga teacher who he met during a trip to India.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Danny’s on a spiritual journey. He admires Eve and how in touch she is with Mother Earth. But some of his friends are concerned about how drastically his life has changed.
“One minute he was with his wife in Kent and looked like he had settled down.
“Then the next minute he is in the hills of India with a group of people he hasn’t been that close to before.”
