Red Sox, Yankees Set Recent National TV Record From ESPN Broadcast

The Boston Red Sox enter the final week before the All-Star break with the momentum of a series victory over the New York Yankees.

Boston closed out the weekend with a 3-0 win on ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” broadcast behind a great start from Kutter Crawford and a combined three home runs from Rafael Devers and Ceddanne Rafaela.

With the rivalry renewed and the Red Sox on the rise, people were locked in for the series finale on national TV.

ESPN PR announced on Tuesday that the broadcast averaged 2.36 million viewers and peaked just below three million viewers.

That should be a good sign for the Red Sox with eyes starting to flash to Fenway Park for the summer. especially with attention shifting after the Boston Celtics finished their season with the NBA Finals.

Until the New England Patriots kick off in September, the Red Sox are the main show in town. It’s up to Boston to meet the challenge and keep the wins coming.
