Luka Vuskovic is heading to Belgium

As per a tweet from Belgian side KVC Westerlo, Luka Vuskovic has now officially signed for the club on loan for the season.

Westerlo posted a photo of the young Croatian defender with the caption, “Welcome to Westerlo, Luka.”

A statement reads: “KVC Westerlo strengthens its defence for the upcoming season with Luka Vuskovic. The tall Croatian defender is considered one of his country’s greatest talents and has signed a one-season contract in the Kempen.”

The club’s director, Wim Van Hove, added: “We are delighted to welcome a player with such potential… With Vuskovic’s arrival, we emphasise our club’s excellent functioning, which has previously proven to be an outstanding development platform for young talents.

“Together with our entire entourage and staff, we look forward to playing an important role in the further growth of his already promising career.”

Vuskovic will continue his footballing education on the continent

Vuskovic will wear the number 44 shirt for Westerlo.

The Croatian cannot play for Tottenham until he turns 18, and having spent last season on loan at Polish side Radomiak Radom, was in need of higher level experience to accrue the required amount of GBE (Governing Body Endorsement) points to be able to play in England (Weszlo).

Way back on June 16, Fabrizio Romano tweeted to say that Vuskovic was ‘on the verge’ of making the move to Westerlo, but the switch has now been confirmed.

Spurs Web Opinion

Hopefully, Vuskovic can have another strong season this year and then come into the setup at Tottenham next summer ready to go.

It will be very interesting to see how quickly he gets involved in the first-team at Spurs.
