'Pushing to sign': Serie A club interested in Man Utd ace with £195,000-a-week wages, £40m asking price - report

Juventus are ‘pushing’ to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho this summer, according to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Seth.

Man United are willing to part ways with Sancho but are demanding £40 million to sanction his exit.

Juventus are interested in signing the England international but ‘need to sell’ to meet United’s asking price.

Sancho’s career at United seems to be over after he effectively called Erik ten Hag a liar on social media.

He deleted his post but refused to apologise to the Red Devils head coach.

Man United might have to lower their demand for Sancho

It might be challenging for any club to cover the £40 million transfer fee and match Sancho’s substantial wages.

He currently earns £195,000 a week at United with his contract running until 2026.

The Italian giants might take a patient approach in their pursuit of Sancho, given his fractured relationship with Ten Hag.

With United extending the Dutchman’s contract, Sancho’s departure from Old Trafford seems all but inevitable.

The Englishman chose not to apologise and was sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund in the second half of the 2023/24 season.

He had a mixed tenure with Bundesliga giants, tallying six goal contributions in 21 outings for Dortmund.

Sancho had the golden opportunity to show his skills in the UEFA Champions League final but he failed to impress.

Juventus could also lure United with a swap deal involving Federico Chiesa. The Old Lady could be willing to let him go, given his contract expires next summer.

The £30m-rated forward netted ten goals and provided three assists in 37 games across all competitions last season.

His stocks have fallen over the last couple of years. The 26-year-old was once a hot prospect, having registered 15 goals and 11 assists in 46 games in the 2020/21 campaign.

United might find the prospect of gambling on Chiesa more enticing than sidelining Sancho from the first team for another year.
