Hussain: Israeli public oblivious to Gaza suffering

The oft-repeated mantra of “finishing the job” by the Israeli government has lost its original intended objective. The Israel-Hamas war is in its 10th month. It started after the brutal killing of Israeli citizens in the Hamas-led attack on Oct. 7. The intended purpose of attacking Gaza was to finish Hamas once and for all. Ten months later, according to Israeli defense leaders, as well as the U.S. government, that objective remains elusive and is most likely not achievable.
