Tourist suffers punctured lung in Paphos quadbike crash

A 27-year-old tourist suffered a punctured lung in a quadbike accident which occurred on Tuesday evening in the Paphos district village of Neo Chorio.

The woman was riding a rented quadbike at around 5pm with a 28-year-old female passenger on board when, under circumstances which are being investigated, she swerved into oncoming traffic, before the quadbike ended up overturned in a ditch by the side of the road.

The two women were initially taken to the Polis Chrysochous hospital before later being transferred to the Paphos general hospital.

Doctors determined that the 27-year-old had, among other injuries, sustained a punctured lung. She was therefore transferred to the hospital’s intensive care unit.
