While working on-site at the boozer, Jeremy made a cheeky find which left fans in hysterics.

Posting a video on Instagram, the host revealed to his 8.3million followers: “Tell me you’ve bought a pub on a dogging site without telling me you bought a pub on a dogging site,” while holding up what appeared to be a pair of well-worn knickers.

Seeing the funny side, a fan wrote: “This is terrible! Please tell me the exact location, time and dates so I know to avoid missing it…”

While another joked: “New name for the pub Jeremy The Dog Inn,”

Someone else quipped: “Sorry Jez, left them behind last night.”

A fourth fan remarked: “My new local. Can’t wait.”

As he discussed his new business venture on Instagram, Jeremy revealed that the pub may not be opening its doors until 2025.

Opening up on the work that is needed for the venue to be completed, the former Top Gear host said: “We have much work to do, so will let you know when we can open.

“It’s entirely possible that I won’t get the place mended and open until the icy hand of winter has descended which means I’ll have 80 people to pay every week, a quagmire for a car park and no customers because – as I’ve been told time and again – people just don’t go to country pubs any more.”

Other than his new pub, Jeremy also owns and runs Diddly Squat Farm in The Cotswolds, having bought the site in 2008.

Since taking over the farm’s day-to-day, his exploits have been aired in three series of Amazon Prime Video’s Clarkson’s Farm – with another on the way.

Jeremy’s experiences of taking on the pub will be featured in the hit programme.

It comes as the star shared a major update with fans following tragic farm deaths last year.

The Oxfordshire farm was hit with tragedy when dozens of their piglets died shortly after being born.

After being rolled over by their mother while she was asleep, Jeremy and his long-time partner Lisa Hogan were left in tears as they gathered up the babies after their deaths.

Meet the cast of Clarkson's Farm

Clarkson's Farm began streaming in 2021 and follows Jeremy Clarkson and his team managing Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds. Here's a 'who's who' of faces in the Clarkson's Farm cast.

  • Jeremy Clarkson: Presenter and journalist; also known for Top Gear, The Grand Tour and Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
  • Lisa Hogan: A former actress and Jeremy’s partner, who assists in the running of the farm shop.
  • Kaleb Cooper: A young farm worker from Chipping Norton, who forms a double act with Jeremy on-screen. He’s later promoted to farm manager in series three.
  • Gerald Cooper: Specialist in the construction and maintenance of dry stone walls and the farm’s “head of security”. Of no relation to Kaleb.
  • Charlie Ireland: Nicknamed “Cheerful Charlie”, a professional land agent who advises Jeremy on land management.

Viewers saw these scenes play out in April, while being just as heartbroken by the devastating sight.

In brighter news, Lisa and the farm’s official Instagram account revealed there is now a brand new army of piglets who are happy and healthy with their mother.

“Piglet alert! Many piglets, from our first gilt born on the farm (now that she’s produced a litter, she’s called a sow),” Lisa explained.

“Births were fast and easy & we are extremely proud grand pigletarents.”
