Mariners Game #93 Preview: SEA at SD, 7/9/24
Logan Gilbert, All-Star
After an off-day yesterday, the Mariners start a quick two-game set in San Diego tonight before heading to Anaheim for a divisional matchup with the Angels. Freshly-minted All-Star Logan Gilbert will take the mound for the Mariners, while young Adam Mazur will start for the Padres. Read more about Mazur and the rest of the Padres in today’s series preview.
Lineups:
Julio returns to the lineup after sitting out Saturday and Sunday with quad tightness, batting cleanup. Ty France drops way down in the order, and Mitch Garver is in the two-hole.

The Padres are still without Fernando Tatís Jr., but they have plenty of other firepower in the lineup, including the youngest All-Star (and my preseason pick for NL ROY), Jackson Merrill.
