Report: Tottenham are set to sign major money-spinning deal

Tottenham Hotspur may have seen their sponsorship deal with Cinch come to a premature end this summer, but they appear to be on the verge of lining up a new agreement that will bring in even more money.

Tottenham’s new shirt sleeve sponsorship is close

According to a report from Football.London, Spurs are currently in “advanced negotiations” that would see a “huge” deal put in place for their new matchday shirt sleeve sponsors.

The new agreement is expected to be announced “as early as this month,” though the company being lined up is unknown at this moment in time.

Tottenham were three years into a five-year agreement with Cinch, only for the online car sales company decided to trigger an early exit on that contract.

The deal there was thought to be worth around £10m per year for Spurs.

But, losing that deal may not have been the worst thing for the Lilywhites, as any new sponsorship deal “will dwarf” that fee. It is said this new deal will be announced in “the coming weeks.”

The funds will help Tottenham from a FFP perspective

The report adds that Tottenham’s new sponsorship agreements will help them create an even bigger cushion when it comes to the Premier League‘s Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

The scale of this new agreement is unknown, but Spurs were in preliminary talks with the South Africa Tourism Board previously, in a deal which could have been worth around £14m-per-year.

BetMGM have recently been added as the club’s new training wear sponsor, after the deal with Getir came to an end. That new agreement is worth £10m-per-year.

Spurs will be raking in the money from here on out from all these new sponsorship deals, and I just hope the club puts these funds to good use and makes the most of the strong position we’re in from a PSR perspective now.
