Uma will regret quitting Love Island – Wil wouldn’t have left for her, say Casa Amor stars

LOVE Island’s Casa Amor stars Ruby Dale and Diamanté Laiva have shared they fear Uma Jammeh will regret quitting the villa for Wil – branding him “horrible” and claiming he would not do the same.

On Tuesday night, Uma was seen dramatically quitting the show after bombshell Reuben Collins opted to steal her from Wil, who was immediately dumped.

Rather than stay on the show without him, Uma burst into tears before saying she was going with him, and in a heartbreaking exit, said her goodbyes.

The decision came just hours after a brutal argument between them, after his behaviour in Casa Amor came to light.

Speaking to Heat Magazine about the news, which was revealed on Monday morning, Diamanté and Ruby – who both got to know the boys during the annual Casa Amor second villa twist – think she made the wrong decision.

“I feel sorry for Uma because, obviously, it’s hard when you’re in the villa – you’re in a bubble,” said Ruby.

“You’re away from the real world. You only know what you’re hearing from your partner, from your friends in there, and obviously, I feel like Uma’s emotions and feelings in there are very real.

“She seems like a girl’s girl; she seems very true. Unfortunately, I feel we saw a different side to Wil than we’ve seen on TV…”

Diamante added it was a “horrible side”, saying: “She shouldn’t have left, if she has. If she has I will be a bit disappointed.”

“If the shoe was on the other foot, Wil wouldn’t have left her,” Ruby added.

Following their exit, Wil has spoken about his future with Uma – and it seems he’s got it all planned out and can even see them getting married.

“I’ve met friends for life and left with a potential wife!” he declared.

Opening up about his reaction to Uma deciding to leave with him, he said: “I feel like what I did and said to her was enough for her to end her journey with me, it makes me feel amazing, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome to be honest.

“I’ve been in there for three and a half weeks and I’ve left with a girlfriend pretty much.”

Early Love Island exits

Uma is not the first star to quit the series - with several islanders opting to leave early either for love, or for personal reasons. This includes:

2016 – Sophie Gradon: Sophie broke barriers on Love Island by becoming part of the first same-sex couple with Katie Salmon. But she left two days later, simply saying her “time was done”.

2016 – Zara Holland: The former Miss GB was considering quitting after a night with Alex Bowen resulted in her being stripped of her title. She left when getting news her mum was ill.

2016 – Rykard Jenkins: After Rachel Fenton, who he had grown a romantic attachment to, was dumped from the villa, Rykard stunned the islanders by chasing after her on the beach. He told Caroline Flack, “If you’ve got a good girl, you can’t let her go. I’m out.”

2018 – Niall Aslam: Niall walked out of the show due to “personal reasons” just a week into the show. He disclosed years later he had suffered stress induced psychosis while in the villa.

2018 – Samira Mighty: After Frankie Foster was dumped from the island, Samira decided she’d had enough and decided to leave, saying she was given “just a taste” of romance and would regret it if she didn’t follow it.

2021 – Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish: The couple had been together since the start, but after breaking up just days before the final, they decided to both exit rather than stay.

2022 – Liam Llewelyn: The Welsh star quit the show after just five days saying he ‘wasn’t feeling himself’ in the villa.

2022 – Jacques O’Neill: Despite forming a connection with Paige Thorne, Jacques chose to leave the villa after “not feeling like himself”.

2024 – Jake Cornish: Less than three days after arriving on Love Island All-Stars, Jake quit the show again after fans decided to couple him up with ex, Liberty.
