Susanna Reid, 53, told Good Morning Britain viewers “I’m going to say goodbye to you,” as the three-hour episode wrapped.

Yet fans need not fear as the mum of three is headed on her summer break – and confirmed she will be back on-screen in September.

The host, dressed in all pink, made her reveal and said to political analysts Kevin Maguire and Andrew Pierce: “I’m going to say goodbye to you both because it’s now time for me to go off on a break.

“Which means I get to say goodbye to you at home.”

She continued: “You never know, I might pop up in the meantime.

“But otherwise I will see you back in September.”

Her co-presenter Ed Balls, 57, interjected: “Do you have to?

“Can’t you just stay a bit?”

She then continued: “You will be in the capable hands of the rest of the Good Morning Britain team.”

Referring to her neon outfit she said: “The pink highlighter is off, I’ll see you in September.

“Thanks for your company, back tomorrow at 6am.

“Now it’s time for Lorraine – come on England!”

Earlier in the episode, former Labour politician Ed confirmed he would be on Thursday’s episode.

ALL CHANGE

It came after Good Morning Britain was subject to a huge shake-up last week.

This also saw Lorraine and This Morning axed to make way for an extended episode of GMB.

The show ran for 30minutes extra to accommodate for the coverage of the UK General Election results.

Again, Ed and Susanna were at the helm to deliver news of the changing political landscape as Keir Starmer became Britain’s next Prime Minister.
