Aesthetics pro stresses ‘vital’ step to stop your hands from looking old – and a clinically proven way to reverse aging

AGING hands can be rejuvenated with an innovative device – but a simple hack keeps them from losing their initial youthfulness, according to an expert.

She shared must-try tips for keeping skin free from wrinkles, loss of elasticity, and age spots.

Nina Prisk is an aesthetics nurse and the owner of Update Aesthetics Cosmetic Clinics, both in London’s Harley Street and Cornwall.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, the skin expert revealed the secret to looking younger for longer.

HANDS HEALER

Prisk said most people remember to apply a “high factor medical grade broad spectrum SPF” to their body and face but neglect their hands.

She said it’s “vital” to apply the skincare product to protect the hands from the signs of aging.

Luckily, people who’ve failed to routinely wear sunscreen can reverse the signs of aging with a light therapy device.

“Dermalux is clinically proven and certified in the treatment of a wide range of medical and cosmetic skin conditions,” Prisk said.

“It delivers unique targeted combinations of blue, red, and near-infrared wavelengths to promote skin health and rejuvenation, accelerate healing, and resolve problem skin conditions for the face and body.

“Clinically proven and with no downtime it’s a great way to reverse the signs of aging on the hands, as well as reduce pigmentation.”

Dermalux Flex MD LED Light Therapy Device has an impressive 4.9-star rating out of a possible 5 on Current Body.

The manufacturer recommends cleaning and pat drying the skin before use in a 30-minute session.

The red and near-infrared wavelengths reduce the appearance of wrinkles, while also stimulating collagen production.

One customer penned a review saying they saw an improvement in their skin after just one use, while another said “everyone has commented” on how great their skin looks.

COLLAGEN BOOSTERS

Prisk revealed fine lines and wrinkles on the rest of the body can also be diminished without using Botox.

“Injecting polynucleotides into the skin can improve the function of the cells, increasing the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid,” she said.

“This improves the skin’s texture and elasticity and reduces fine lines and wrinkles.”

According to Top Doctors, polynucleotides are “reabsorbable gel-like products” that can improve the condition of the skin for up to six months.

Two or three sessions spaced around two weeks apart may be needed to achieve the best results.

Prisk revealed there is an alternative to cosmetic injections for a youthful appearance.

“Chemical peels can also help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by promoting cell turnover and stimulating collagen production,” she said.

“Formulated to target specific concerns they can cater to an individual’s specific needs with minimal downtime and effective results.”

INCREDIBLE INGREDIENTS

Prisk said anti-aging skincare ingredients can also be found in many makeup products.

Retinoids, peptides, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and alpha hydroxy acids are among the most effective.

“These work in different ways to improve skin health and address the signs of aging which include loss of elasticity, sagging, wrinkles, and fine lines,” she said.

Prisk previously spoke to The U.S. Sun about avoiding popular social media skincare trends that could do more harm than good.

She said #Facetaping has a large following but the hack isn’t as effective as muscle relaxant injections for treating aging skin.

She warned that it can clog pores and damage the skin barrier.

The skincare expert also advised against making sunscreen at home as it can leave skin at risk of “sunburn, irritation, sensitivity, not to mention skin cancer.”
