The other showcases real life investigations into corrupt police officers.

Viewers interested in the world of crime will be delighted to hear that both shows have been renewed.

The Jury: Murder Trial has had a second series commissioned by Channel 4 after the success of the first.

Meanwhile, To Catch A Copper has been greenlit for both a second and third season.

In the first season of The Jury: Murder Trial, producers gathered two completely different juries and presented them with the same evidence side by side.

The twist was that neither jury knew the other one existed, as they were hidden by a screen.

Both randomly selected groups of 12 were tasked with giving their verdict on a real historical murder case.

During the course of the staged trial, an actor played the part of the man being accused of killing his wife.

By the end of the series viewers have had a glimpse into the inner workings of the court process, and can see the affect the demographic of a jury has on the final ruling of guilty or innocence – if any.

For To Catch a Copper, filming crew were granted exclusive access to the Avon and Somerset Police Professional Standards department, which is the governing body for all British cops.

Investigators working within the department have the tough job of bringing unlawful police officers to justice.

Fans of the show get a peak behind-the-scenes to see what happens when cops are caught in grave misconduct.

The first seasons of both shows are currently available to stream on Channel 4.
