She had suffered three strokes over the last decade.

Pat appeared in series 7 of Dallas back in 1983.

Her character Dora was the manager of the Oil Baron’s Club and starred in the show until the final season in 1991.

She went on to appear in more than 65 episodes, up to and including the 14th and final season.

After Dallas ended, she appeared in episodes of Sisters (1991) and True Colors (1991).

Her first credited acting gig was in Eischiled in 1979 where she portrayed a model in the series which also featured Joe Don Baker.

Her acting credits also included Fall Guy, and Capitol.

Capitol was a soap opera which aired from 1982 to 1987. Pat portrayed Cora Mullens in the show.

The star also had credits in 1987 movie Leonard Part 6, alongside Bill Cosby. Colbert played Allison Parker in the spy comedy that follows a retired spy running a restaurant.

The actress would go on to have credits in films like Thom & Dusty Go to Mexico: The Lost Treasure (2014) and If Not for His Grace (2015).

Colbert was born January 16, 1947, in Los Angeles.

Some of her other TV appearances included Flamingo Road from 198 to 1981 and to she also had a part in the 1985 TV miniseries “A Death in California.”

Along with her sister, she is survived by two other siblings and by her son, Michael.

Shaun Chang of the movie and TV blog Hill Place told The Hollywood Reporter: “As the only recurring African-American character on the series, Dora Mae never had a storyline, because Dallas never tried to pretend to be anything more than the saga of the Ewing family, but she played the role with elegance and intelligence.

“The leading characters, and the show itself, treated her with respect and without any sense of condescension.

“Dallas had many recurring supporting characters who helped create a sense of community for a show set in a major city, and Dora Mae was part of the fabric of the series.”

Dallas started airing in 1978. It was said the show got cancelled in 1991 due to it becoming ‘too costly for its own good’.

A funeral for Pat will be held on July 20.
