Rahul Dravid turns down Rs 2.5 crore bonus from BCCI after T20 World Cup victory

This gesture was more of a goodwill offering than an official decision, as Dravid's term as India coach had technically ended after the previous year's 50-over World Cup held at home. Nevertheless, skipper Rohit Sharma and the BCCI successfully persuaded Dravid to extend his tenure until the T20 World Cup, believing that the time was too short for a new coach to take on the high-pressure role.
