Emmerdale fans call out major blunder in Laurel Thomas hospital scenes – but did you spot it?

EAGLE-EYED Emmerdale fans have spotted a big blunder in Laurel Thomas scenes.

The character – played by actress Charlotte Bellamy – was first introduced in the ITV soap back in 2002.

In recently aired scenes, viewers saw Laurel rushed to hospital after a heated argument with husband Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson).

Observant fans noted a glaring detail concerning Laurel’s hospital equipment, writing online to share their discovery.

One penned: “Please don’t accuse me of being bored but I have been monitoring the euipment on Laurels hospital room.

“Even when he gets angry, her pulse never moves from 80 and her oxygen level is always 100%.”

Writing on X, another added: “Laurel is getting too angry and stressed calm down, or the stats on your machine, will shoot through the roof

“oh wait… they’re actually not moving.”

Laurel and Jai have been at odds following her discovery that Jai forced his birth father Amit out of the village and made him sign over his share of the Hop, cutting half-brother Suni out in the process.

Later, Jai admitted to Laurel that he couldn’t face telling Suni the truth, which left Laurel furious.

During a heated argument, Jai insulted Ashley (John Middleton) – Laurel’s late first husband – leading to Laurel sending him away.

Once she was alone, however, Laurel felt dizzy and collapsed on the floor.

After step-daughter Gabby (Rosie Bentham) found her struggling to breathe, Laurel fearfully asked for Gabby to call an ambulance.

While in hospital, Laurel is troubled that her decision to separate from Jai hasn’t sunk in for him.

In light of the storyline, Charlotte recently recalled a moment in real life when she had to be whisked off to A&E from the set.

While appearing as a guest on Lorraine, the actress revealed: “This is something that happened on set years ago.

“During filming, I was making a Bolognese, as you do, with a very blunt knife and I’m chopping and on the take, I chop the top of my finger off.

“At the time, I was pretend pregnant as Laurel so I had to get rushed into A&E with the prop man and with my pretend bump.

“They were so confused and they were more worried about my baby but obviously, my baby wasn’t real, and nor was my husband.”

Will Laurel and Jai be able to reconcile?
