Inside Uma Jammeh’s glamorous off-camera life after star QUITS Love Island villa in shock move

LOVE Island’s Uma Jammeh rocked the villa by choosing to leave alongside Wil Anderson on Tuesday night.

But she’s sure to have one hell of a party to celebrate her return to the UK – leading a glamorous life before she even set foot in Mallorca.

Ahead of entering the show, Uma was friends with 2023 Winter Love Islander Samie Elishi, and lived life to the fullest with fine dining, travelling around the world and even modelling.

The VIP hostess and model shared the luxuries of her life online with an enviable Instagram feed showing her adventures across the globe.

Spending her working evenings at Ballie Ballerson – a retro bar famed for its party ball pits – in East London, Uma made sure her time off was enjoyed at fancy restaurants around the capital.

She even caught the eye of PrettyLittleThing before entering the villa, modelling for the company last year.

Even the editor of Vogue knows her name.

In the year before entering the villa, Uma showed off her killer figure by soaking up the sun in Tenerife.

For her birthday, she donned a slinky little black dress to party at LSQ rooftop in Leicester Square, London.

Uma entered the villa on day three of the show, becoming one of the first bombshells to enter after Joey Essex.

She initially coupled up with Ayo Odukoya, before moving on to Omar Nyame, and finally finding love with Wil Anderson.

While the pair had a huge falling out as a result of the Casa Amor twist, they remained together to work things out.

On Tuesday, newcomer Reuben Collins decided to steal Uma to couple up with, resulting in Wil being immediately dumped from the villa.

Rather than choosing to stay, Uma immediately made up her mind to leave with him, saying she didn’t want to continue the show without him.

Speaking after the show, Uma said: “I knew where my head and heart was at so I wanted to be true to my feelings for him.”

“We can’t wait to just do normal things on the outside, stay inside and have a takeaway and go on cute dates,” she added.

“Wil wants to take me to Whitley Bay to see where he’s from, but we’ve also discussed him possibly moving to London so I’m looking forward to the future with him. The only way is up from here.”

It’s clear Wil feels the same way too, even suggesting he could marry her in the future.

“I’ve met friends for life and left with a potential wife!” he declared.

Opening up about his reaction to Uma deciding to leave with him, he said: “I feel like what I did and said to her was enough for her to end her journey with me, it makes me feel amazing, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome to be honest.

“I’ve been in there for three and a half weeks and I’ve left with a girlfriend pretty much.”

Early Love Island exits

Uma is not the first star to quit the series - with several islanders opting to leave early either for love, or for personal reasons. This includes:

2016 – Sophie Gradon: Sophie broke barriers on Love Island by becoming part of the first same-sex couple with Katie Salmon. But she left two days later, simply saying her “time was done”.

2016 – Zara Holland: The former Miss GB was considering quitting after a night with Alex Bowen resulted in her being stripped of her title. She left when getting news her mum was ill.

2016 – Rykard Jenkins: After Rachel Fenton, who he had grown a romantic attachment to, was dumped from the villa, Rykard stunned the islanders by chasing after her on the beach. He told Caroline Flack, “If you’ve got a good girl, you can’t let her go. I’m out.”

2018 – Niall Aslam: Niall walked out of the show due to “personal reasons” just a week into the show. He disclosed years later he had suffered stress induced psychosis while in the villa.

2018 – Samira Mighty: After Frankie Foster was dumped from the island, Samira decided she’d had enough and decided to leave, saying she was given “just a taste” of romance and would regret it if she didn’t follow it.

2021 – Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish: The couple had been together since the start, but after breaking up just days before the final, they decided to both exit rather than stay.

2022 – Liam Llewelyn: The Welsh star quit the show after just five days saying he ‘wasn’t feeling himself’ in the villa.

2022 – Jacques O’Neill: Despite forming a connection with Paige Thorne, Jacques chose to leave the villa after “not feeling like himself”.

2024 – Jake Cornish: Less than three days after arriving on Love Island All-Stars, Jake quit the show again after fans decided to couple him up with ex, Liberty.
