Morgan Riddle cheers on Taylor Fritz two days on from Wimbledon Alexander Zverev controversy
MORGAN RIDDLE watched Taylor Fritz from his player box during his Wimbledon quarter-final, two days on from her Alexander Zverev controversy.
The influencer, 26, has been dating Fritz since 2020, and travels around the world with him vlogging their experiences on the ATP Tour.
Ahead of Fritz’s Wimbledon fourth round clash with Alexander Zverev on Monday, she wrote on Instagram: “Cheer loud ladies.”
She then posted a reel of herself toasting Fritz’s comeback triumph, writing: “When your man wins for the girls.”
Her posts and appearance in her boyfriend’s player box appeared to upset fourth seed Zverev.
But, unperturbed, Morgan looked in good spirits as she encouraged her man against Lorenzo Musetti on No1 Court.
Fritz, 26, went into the match aiming to reach his first Wimbledon semi-final.
Two years ago he lost out in agonising circumstances, being denied a place in the final four by an injured Rafael Nadal in five gruelling sets.
But this time around he got off to the perfect start, winning the first set 6-3 – much to Morgan’s delight.
After squandering a two-set lead to be dumped out of the tournament, Zverev whined about members of Fritz’s player box.
The German, 27, whinged: “His team is extremely respectful. I think his coach, his physio and also his second coach were extremely respectful.
“But I think there are some other people that, maybe, are in the box that are not, maybe from the tennis world and are not, maybe, particularly watching every match.

“They were a bit over the top but that’s okay. No issues, no drama. He fought back from two sets to love so they are obviously all excited, very pumped up.
“But no issues with Taylor. I think Taylor is a great guy and I have no issues with him.”
Fritz refused to be drawn into the feud.
And after deleting one of her Instagram Stories, Morgan looked to squash any potential aggro too.
She wrote on social media: “I took them down as soon as I realised the misunderstanding and how blown out of proportion they had become by the media.
“They were not about anything that’s happened off the tennis court [and] there’s no bad blood between anyone.
“Super proud of T for the match yesterday, thank you to the crowd for the support and looking forward to tomorrow.”
