Children's business fair coming to NOTO
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Kids will bring baked goods, art, body supplies, crochet crafts and jewelry to a children's business fair later this month in the North Topeka Arts District (NOTO).
27 News contacted event organizer and owner of Paper June, Angie Grau, about the event. Grau said she expects a diverse group of kids ages four to 18 to participate with 17 tables already booked.
Grau said she looks forward to this year's event. The group held a children's business fair last November but it was disappointing as it ended up raining that day. This year the event already has seven more booths registered.
“I know many kids who are creating and selling items to fund their interests, as well as kids who are excited about the prospect of having their own business," Grau said. "The team at Compass Point and I wanted to support these talented kiddos and encourage their efforts. I can’t wait to see what they all have to offer!”
The event is being hosted by Paper June and Compass Point in partnership with the Acton Children's Business Fair. The event will feature live music from Howard Mahan starting after 7 p.m. and the Artismo Bistro food truck.
The children's fair will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 19 at the NOTO Arts and Entertainment District, 800 N Kansas Ave. For more information on the event, click here.
