Florida Man Tumbles 60 Feet Into Creek in Stunt Gone Wrong

He was lucky to escape without any major injuries.

A would-be daredevil saw his stunt go horribly wrong last month after he fell 60 feet into a local creek. And it was all captured on video.

Florida man Christopher James Sikes Smalley was trying to leap from a tree into Crystal Springs in Vernon, FL in an attempted stunt. Unfortunately for him, the tree branch he was perched upon gave way, causing him to tumble down.

“The fall was crazy. I knew when I heard the branch crack that it just got real and I was going down,” he said to Storyful. “It was the first time at that height. I jump from the branch I hit on the way down all the time.”

The video shows him bouncing off a lower limb before hitting the water. He was rescued by a nearby boat. Despite the fearsome fall, he ended up with only some scrapes, bruises, and foot injuries, and dodged any broken bones.
