I’m a hairstylist & love a Trader Joe’s buy for damaged hair but I can’t stress enough an issue you must straighten out

GETTING out of hairy situations doesn’t always have to cost a lot, according to one hair pro.

The stylist shared their easy methods for maintaining your mane, plus the biggest mistakes you’re making.

Redditor _Stupidquestion_ spilled the insider beans on the best products and techniques.

“I am a hairstylist and constantly research tips and tricks,” they said.

“Stimulating circulation in the scalp is important,” they continued.

“Tea tree shampoo – Trader Joe’s has a sulfate-free version and it’s super affordable – scalp massage also stimulates blood flow.”

They advised finding the “sweet spot” for shampoo frequency as washing too regularly will cause your hair and scalp to become dried out.

This will lead to debris and product suffocating your follicles.

They also want you to invest in a good conditioner, and share which ingredients to stay away from.

“I do not recommend coconut oil or protein-heavy treatments as they can actually make hair feel dry and brittle,” they said.

Still, the biggest holy grail hair commandment of all was yet to come.

“But most importantly – get your diet straightened out. I cannot stress enough to my clients that everything on the outside is primarily affected by what’s going on inside!” they said.

“Your hair and skin are a reflection of how you’re treating your body,” they continued.

“As someone who also struggles with unhealthy/inconsistent diet, my advice is to get a plant-based protein powder to supplement your protein intake – it is vital to hair health.”

They suggest incorporating comprehensive B vitamins, and iron supplements into your diet.

They are also fans of biotin and fish oil – but don’t think that’s a quick fix.

“I can assure you they will do nothing without adequate B, iron, & protein – especially if you are not consuming animal products,” they said.

If you aren’t taking your share of dietary enhancements, Amazon sells Difeel Premium Biotin Hair Oil, which is on sale for $7.28.

Another item was also making their skin look “amazing” – collagen supplements.

They did, however, admit to hearing mixed things about the buy, especially the vegan option, so you might just have to try it for yourself.

Another Redditor couldn’t agree more with their assessment.

“Stress, hormones, and your body’s metabolic functions can 1000% affect hair health,” they said.

“Honestly, this is where I struggle the most but am fully aware that it would be so much worse if I weren’t at least trying the supplements/topical stimulation,” they continued.
