'Finally!' AOC championed for targeting Supreme Court Justices Thomas and Alito

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) filed articles of impeachment against U.S. Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito on Wednesday in the House, spurring much celebration and kudos from the left.

"Justice Thomas and Alito's repeated failure over decades to disclose that they received millions of dollars in gifts from individuals with business before the court is explicitly against the law," Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement. "Their refusal to recuse from the specific matters and cases before the court in which their benefactors and spouses are implicated represents nothing less than a constitutional crisis."

The left was quick to throw support behind the move online, despite the unlikelihood that a Republican-controlled House would bring her motion to a vote.

"Finally!!! Democrats are finally taking action on the corruption of the [Supreme Court]," said X user Ken Warnock.

"AOC knows that these won't go anywhere," Marshall Flores noted. "But this is her way of sounding the alarm in the most publicly visible way she can in Congress."

"They stand no chance of passing the Republican-controlled House. but a provocative move as Democrats fret about the direction of the Supreme Court," agreed reporter Ryan Nobels.

"Hell yeah!" exclaimed Gen. Z Democrat Jack Cocchiarella.

"About damn time. #ImpeachClarenceThomas," exclaimed Christopher Fuller.

"Seems like it takes a woman to grow the balls to do the work to impeach Thomas! THANK YOU AOC," Carolyn replied to the congresswoman's post on the social media site X.

"GOOD!" cheered Harry Sisson, "Their conduct has been absolutely unacceptable. From corruption to clear displays of bias, it’s time for them to be removed from the court!"

"Good on AOC," said Jennifer J. Monteith, who also urged her followers to call their senators and representatives to support the impeachment. She included the hashtag #NoOneIsAboveTheLaw.
