DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas -- A grand opening ceremony will be held for the Dorian Zev Kweller Memorial Skatepark later this month.

The opening ceremony ribbon cutting will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Founders Memorial Park. Following that celebration, skate competitions will be taking place from 10 a.m. to noon. These contests are open to all ages. After the contests, the Dorian Zev Kweller Skatepark will be open to the public.

The park will consist of a 10,000-square-foot skatepark for young skateboard lovers, this will be a safe space for these athletes to develop new skills while having fun.

This new skatepark was made possible thanks to efforts and support from Dripping Springs residents, local non-profit "Drip Sb", skatepark designers along with friends and family members of the Kweller family.
