Nestle launches NEW sweet treat based off nostalgic dessert as foodies rave ‘we need to try them’

CONFECTIONERY industry giant Nestle has launched a new sweet treat inspired by a nostalgic dessert.

Sugar-mad foodies are raving about the snack saying: “We need to try them.”

New Milkybar Jelly & Ice Cream Rowntree’s are set to appear in stores soon

New Milkybar Jelly & Ice Cream Rowntree’s are set to hit supermarket shelves soon.

Perfect for sweet-toothed customers the new treats are creamy Milkybar buttons paired with juicy Rowntree’s jelly pieces.

A description reads: “Two of your favourites combined into one big bag bursting with the flavours inspired by a British Staple Desert, Jelly & Ice Cream!

“Enjoy the great taste of Milkybar and Rowntree’s at the same time. Great tasting creamy smooth white buttons and juicy jelly pieces, both with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.”

A post about the new chocolate offering was shared on  popular Facebook group Newfooduk this week and has racked up more than 200 comments.

One person wrote: “These sound good!”, while another said: “Oooo interesting.”

A third commented: “These could be a game changer,” and another added: “Will deffo be trying these.”

Someone else simply tagged a friend and wrote: “Look at these beauties.”

Nestle say shoppers can expect to see the new treat in stores from mid-July.

Milkybar Brand Manager, Lucy Fawcett, said: “We’re excited to share our latest ice cream inspired sharing bag with the UK and Ireland this week and can’t wait to hear what our confectionery fans make of it.”

“We loved the idea of jelly and ice cream as a flavour inspiration, it brings back memories of carefree summer days, sitting around the table with friends and family.

“Our sharing bags are designed to bring people together and hopefully this tasty new treat will bring back some of that summer nostalgia when people try it.”

Meanwhile, new chocolate treats have been hitting the supermarket shelves at some speed in 2024.

Aldi shoppers have recently been rushing to buy an “unreal” chocolate treat that tastes just like a discontinued Cadbury snack.

Elsewhere Cadbury fans are getting excited for a new cookie based on an Easter favourite hitting the shelves.
