PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland police arrested six people in a prostitution sting as part of what they call "proactive anti-trafficking initiatives."

The Portland Police Bureau's Human Trafficking Unit conducted the sting two weeks ago along 82nd Avenue. Of the six who were arrested, five were from the greater metro area and one was from Arizona. A seventh person was arrested for violating probation. Four vehicles were also towed during the mission.

As for the people who were victimized, police said help and resources were offered to them.

If you or someone you know is being trafficked for sex or labor, call 9-11 or text the National Human Trafficking Hotline by texting the word "help" to "be free" or 233-733.
