But what will this mean for his burgeoning TikTok career? Jack Schlossberg, internet personality (and grandson of former president JFK), has joined Vogue as a political correspondent ahead of the 2024 election. The publication shared the news via an interview in which Schlossberg answered a question about his online presence by describing himself as a “fun, wacky guy” and “a silly goose who’s trying, just trying, to get the truth out there.” “There are things that you can tell are authentic versus not, and people respond well to that with me,” he added. Although Schlossberg has both law and business degrees from Harvard, the 31-year-old son of diplomat Caroline Kennedy is better known on some parts of the internet for posting wildly random videos. Recent offerings include him giving a passionate defense of pigs, reciting poetry while skateboarding, and singing “Pon de Replay” while wearing Bluey sunglasses.

Schlossberg’s audience seems hopeful that his new position will only lead to more entertainment. On his Instagram post about joining Vogue, a comment with more than a thousand likes declares, “welcome back carrie bradshaw.” (Don’t ask who his Big would be, though — he told Vogue he has “no comment” on his relationship status.) Schlossberg said his strategy is to reach young voters by making entertaining or fun content. “That’s what all the great leaders do. You can’t just hammer people with how bad stuff is,” he said. “You’ve got to bring some positivity and good energy to the things you think are important.” To him, it’s part of the Kennedy family’s legacy “to try to stay positive about government.” What, even when it comes to his cousin?
