EPFO notifies policy for hiring retired employees on contract basis

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced a policy for hiring retired officers and employees on a contract basis. This move aims to fill existing vacancies in various cadres across EPFO, as existing personnel may lack the required competency. The policy, approved by the EPFO's executive committee in October 2023, will be for an initial one-year term, with the possibility of extension beyond two years after superannuation.
