Captain Avhilash Rawat and his crew of an oil tanker, 'Marlin Luanda', have been awarded the International Maritime Organisation's 2024 Award for Exceptional Bravery at Sea for their extraordinary courage in a Red Sea rescue mission. The crew was awarded for their determination and endurance in coordinating firefighting and damage control efforts during a fire that broke out after an anti-ship missile was fired by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels.
