'Cacophony met with silence': CNN shames Biden as he ducks barrage from yelling reporters
President Joe Biden faced a barrage of questions from shouting reporters and elected officials Wednesday and answered none of them — leading a CNN anchor to wax poetic on the awkward exchange as a "cacophony met with silence."
Biden met with new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, D.C., where the duo exchanged a free-flowing conversation, instead of delivering prepared speeches.
As the discourse ended, Biden thanked reporters for coming.

And then the yelling began.
As reporters jockeyed to see who could shout their question the loudest, a bewildered Biden shot Starmer a glance and cracked a smile.
Erin Burnett, host of CNN's "Outfront," commented on the awkward moment, noting Biden "chose not to answer any" of the questions.
After playing the clip, she remarked: "A cacophony met with silence. This is a president who wants to put the debate fallout behind him. He's made that clear. But he is now facing new calls to drop out of the race along with some not-so-subtle messages from top Democrats tonight to reconsider his candidacy."
